As of this moment, I have finished my novel. After over a year of research, planning, writing, days and nights spent sitting of the laptop … and of course copious amounts of caffeine and wine, the book is finished. It is just over 155 thousand words, and I have never before felt so happy with something I have done. I have changed so much from the person I was when I started this project, to the man I am now. I have learnt so much about myself and my life has changed so dramatically. This project was something that helped me to figure myself out, to determine my identity. Whatever happens from this moment on, I am a novelist … now, a glass of wine to celebrate.
